Richmond Car Photography
Professional automotive photography & videography in Richmond, BC
Richmond gives a car something rare in Metro Vancouver: horizon. The flat delta landscape means enormous skies, and nowhere shows a car against a sunset better than the dead-straight causeway out to Iona Beach.
Then there's Steveston — boardwalk textures, fishing boats, and heritage storefronts that photograph like a coastal village. Between the two, plus the industrial river roads and the constant drama of aircraft overhead near YVR, Richmond sessions never look like anyone else's.
Where we shoot in Richmond
Iona Beach Road
A straight causeway between ocean and river ending at the region's widest horizon. Sunset here is enormous — the signature Richmond shot.
Steveston Village
Wharf boardwalks, heritage storefronts, and working fishing boats. Ideal for classics and any build that wants small-town coastal character.
River Road industrial stretch
Corrugated warehouses and river fog in the mornings — gritty texture for aggressive builds, empty on weekends.
Templeton / airport approach
Wide modern roads under the YVR flight path. Timed right, you get aircraft in frame over the car — a Richmond-only party trick.

Richmond car photography FAQ
Is Iona Beach Road open for photoshoots?
It's a public road with pullouts and a parking area at the end. We shoot from the shoulders respectfully — early morning and the last hour before gate closing are the quietest windows.
Do you charge extra for Richmond sessions?
No — Richmond is part of my core Metro Vancouver service area with no travel fee.
What kind of cars suit Richmond best?
Big-sky spots like Iona flatter exotics and supercars; Steveston's heritage look is the best classic-car backdrop in the region. Both fit in a single session.
